Usually priced between $190 and $210, the DaVinci is in the mid-price range for portable vaporizers that work with both herbs and essential oils. Its warranty coverage is 2 years.

Smaller in width than the Iolite WISPR, the DaVinci is adorned with the main power button on its side; three front buttons, up (+), down (-), and heat-activation; and features a rectangular digital display to indicate temperature and battery power. Pushing the power button will illuminate the display blue, and total heat-up time – depending on the temperature you set – will take about a full minute.
The herb chamber is located in the upper-right quadrant of the unit. Directly above the chamber is a small compartment that can hold up to 3 times the amount of herbs placed in the chamber for later use. Also above the chamber is the cleaning brush tool. Being able to carry additional herbs and the cleaning tool easily is an extremely cool feature of the DaVinci. The “antenna” is the flexi-straw (aka mouthpiece), which is made of high-temperature food grade silicon and can be unscrewed from the main unit.
A fully charged lithium-ion battery gets us through about 5 10-minute sessions. Vape dies in the middle of a session? No worries because the DaVinci can be used while being charged. Charging the battery from empty to full takes roughly 3 hours.
While we’re not big fans of the DaVinci’s walkie talkie-like design, we are big fans of its very sturdy build, how comfortable it fits in the palm of our hands, and how easy and convenient it stores in our back pockets and carry-on bags. DaVinci’s creator, Karma, desired to create a portable vaporizer that’s still easy to store yet has a digital temperature control. A comparable digital and portable vape is the Vapir NO2 and when comparing through size alone, DaVinci beats out Vapir NO2 in storage portability.
Like other vaporizers, the DaVinci cycles through its heating, reaching the desired temperature setting and then powering up again to maintain its temp. We’d say it stays within a 5-9° range.
After using the oil cans, always rinse them out with isopropyl rubbing alcohol. The build-up will mess up the cans fairly quickly. A word of warning: with continuous use, this vape can get fairly hot on and around the vent area, which is common with portable units.
All in all, we’re pleased with our DaVince vape. It’s an all-around great unit that produces quality vapor and has neat features to make the vaping experience more pleasurable!
